Overview

The Prism installation comes with a quick step-by-step installer that allows to set up Prism in no time.

To install Prism, visit the official website and download the installer from here.

Once the download is complete, run the installer from the download location.

The following section explains each step of the Installation setup.

Hint

After the installation is complete the Onboarding setup launches automatically to set up your Prism Account, Plugins and first Project.

Installation Steps

Start Setup

Once the installer is started, the Prism "Welcome" screen is shown.

Select Start Setup to begin the installation:

License Agreement

Take a moment to read through and accept the "License Agreement" to continue:

Install Location

Specify an installation location and continue by selecting Install:

Note

If existing Prism preferences are found on the system, a checkbox will appear to delete them in order to perform a clean installation.

Installation Progress

The installation runs and shows the current progress:

Installation Complete

After the installation completes, select Finish:

Preparing Onboarding

The installer automatically continues to prepare the Onboarding setup:

Continue with the Onboarding setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find the Prism installer?

The Prism installer can be downloaded from the official Prism website.

Why is the Onboarding setup not showing up after a fresh Prism installation?

The Onboarding setup only runs on a true first launch. If Prism was previously installed on the system, leftover configuration files or an existing installation folder can make the new installation think it has already run.

In case Prism is already set up, the Onboarding can be started at any time from the Prism User Settings: Prism Settings > User > General > Run Onboarding...
