Working with editorial timelines across DCCs like OpenRV, DaVinci Resolve, Maya and others became a lot easier with the recent addition of OpenTimelineIO (OTIO) support in Prism.

 

Development Update: OpenTimelineIO

OpenTimelineIO allows you to create timelines, tracks, and clips with the latest media versions from your project and save them in a flexible .otio format.

  • Generate .otio files from the shots in your project.
  • These .otio files can then be imported into various DCCs like OpenRV, DaVinci Resolve, Maya and others.
  • You can publish new .otio files from your DCCs.
  • The Prism Execution Graph can be used to generate and update the .otio files automatically.
