New Scene Building tools in Prism automate the setup of new scenefiles by loading of assets, setting frame ranges, applying animation caches, loading USD stages, character rigs and much more.

Development Update: Scene Building

Setting up 3D scenes has never been easier.
With just one click you can load your assets, set your frame ranges, apply animation caches, load USD stages, character rigs and much more.

The updated Scene Building tools in Prism let you configure every step of the Scene Building.

Supported DCCs include Houdini, Maya, Nuke, Blender, Substance Painter and every DCC has its own list of available Scene Building steps.
Each step comes with its own settings, for example when importing products you can decide if a product should be imported or referenced or if a namespace should be applied.

No matter if you’re working with alembic animation caches for dozens of assets or if you’re working with USD and want to get your scenes set up in no time, the flexible scene building tools in Prism will take that off your plate.

For more details, check out the Scene Building documentation page.

Working with editorial timelines across DCCs like OpenRV, DaVinci Resolve, Maya and others became a lot easier with the recent addition of OpenTimelineIO (OTIO) support in Prism.
