Caching type selection? [Houdini]

Maybe I have overlooked this feature, but I fail to find a way to specify if my cache is a simulation or a geometry cache?

Using a renderfarm I need to be able to specify if the job should only get picked up by one node because of frame dependency or if it can use as many free rendernodes as possible.

So far I have just allocated a single machine in Pandora after submission, but a button or functionality in the state manager would be awesome.

Let me know if I have overlooked something.

 

Thanks for this amazing pipeline tool. It is really solid.

You can use the frames per task setting in the State Manager. Just set it to something longer than your sim (like 999). Then there will be only one task in your renderjob and only one slave will simulate it.

That is awesome. I will keep that in mind.
