MAYA: writing in the state manager executes maya commands

When writing a comment or a state name, if you want to write a capital letter holding shift, maya executes a command instead of writing the capital letter. This is crazy annoing as sometimes something have been changed behind the state manager ui, and the error is not spotted until later in the pipeline.
This is not the case in Houdini, only Maya as far as I know, so not sure if it is related directly to prism....

That sounds like the same problem, which happens in 3ds Max 2018 without service packs (https://prism-pipeline.com/forum/topic/problem-when-type-in-asset-name/)

Probably it happens only in a specific Maya version. Which one do you use? I just tested it in 2018.5 and 2019, but there it works fine.

We have been using Maya 2017 update 4 and 5 - and I've also seen it happening on maya 2018, not sure which update...
