Development Update: Execution Graph – Asset Packaging Tool

Here is a great example of what you can do with the Prism Execution Graph:
A flexible asset packaging tool without writing a single line of code!

The graph even generates procedural GUIs and uses the User Input to control the behavior of the graph.

This example runs through the following steps:

  • shows a popup to the user with information how to use the tool
  • asks the user for a sequence and product name
  • searches for the given names in the current project and collects the latest approved versions
  • shows the user which versions it found
  • asks the user for an output folder
  • copies collected versions to the selected folder
  • shows a summary to the user

(for this demo we slowed down the execution of the individual nodes to visualize the execution order better)

The Prism Execution Graph will arrive in Prism very soon!

We love workflow automation and this example shows how to listen to CGWire Kitsu events and trigger notifications in Maya, Discord and other tools in your studio.
