What kind of dev repo do you mean? The "development" branch? I set the "development" branch as the default branch of the Prism repo. After using this for a bit I think it can be confusing sometimes. Maybe I'll change the default branch back to "master", but I'm not sure if it breaks anything. So when using the auto update option in Prism it will download the development branch.

you .... confused me a bit more here ...

is prism already on the dev branch ? cause I haven't had any update using the auto updated in month :s

Hooo I get it now, the 'check for prism update' isn't the actual update button, we must go to the prism setting for the update feature.
