Blender Prism Update Issue

Hi Richard,

hope you are well?

I recently updated Prism (standalone) from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1.47 and my Blender Prism options are not loading up. I checked the forums and found this similar post and it looks like the update version are different and not sure why. I used the get from Github option.

Should I be doing something else?

forgot to say its on a Windows 10 PC and using Blender 2.81.

Hey Femi,

thanks for reporting. Yes it was a bug, which was introduced in v1.2.1.47, but it's fixed now in v1.2.1.48.

thanks for that. Its working now.

I have one other question. Can we export Blender containers as groups to Maya through FBX? Cannot seem to get it to work.

What do you mean by Blender container? Do you mean collections?

It looks like you are not the only one who would like to do that (https://blenderartists.org/t/blender-2-8-collections-to-maya-groups/1141401)

It's not supported by Blender/Maya so I would have to write a custom solution to make that work. For example by converting all collections to empty objects before the export and restoring the collections after the exports. But that could end up in a more complex tasks for big Blender scenes so it's probably not a quick thing to do.
