Development Update: Execution Graph – Connect Kitsu Events to your Pipeline

We love workflow automation and this example shows how to listen to CGWire Kitsu events and trigger notifications in Maya, Discord and other tools in your studio.

In the video we use the Prism Execution Graph to set up a node graph, which automates the following steps:

  • Listen to events from Kitsu.
  • When a task got assigned, send a notification to the artist, while he is working in Maya.
  • Send a notification to a Discord channel with details about the task.
  • Listen for the next event from Kitsu.

You can easily customize the node graph to send notifications to an Email account or Slack channel instead.
Of course, you can also listen to events from Flow (Shotgrid) or Ftrack.
