User Management Plugin

I was expecting that the user management plugin will permit us to have a central location where users on our team are registered (They will use prism on their computer and a server will report to administrator computer their ID) so that tasks can be assigned to them with possibly alerts when assigned and when the publish assets.

From our testing so far, we have to give the users an arbitrary name in the project browser when assigning tasks and everyone on their computer can create users on the project with any name they choose. That's not great user management. No? Am I missing something?

Hey Leonard,

take a look at the "Studio" plugin. This plugin includes options to create users with predefined names and permissions in your studio. You can then assign them to specific projects. Opening projects is then only possible for users with names, which exists in the Studio settings.

Works. Thanks. But now each time I start up Houdini, I get this Pop Up saying "You don't have the required permissions to edit the project settings" . I have to close it twice to start working. Then the project browser comes up. twice as well

Then, if I edit the projects settings anyway, it still lets me do it, but still throws the error

And on Houdini star, this also comes up twice
