Saving a new definition in an existing .hda file:

OS : Windows

Houdini Version : Houdini 16.0

Prism Version. 1.2

Reproduce Step :

Create a brank new subnet in Object level, then export via prism into a new HDA
Create a new scene, and import the HDA into the scene.
Unlock the HDA, then modify the HDA.
Try to export the modified HDA via Prism, tick the option save new definition in existing HDA.
fail to create, please see attached image about the error.

Thanks for the clear information about the problem.

The "createBackup" feature, which you see in the error message was added to Houdini in version 16.5.185. I just uploaded a fix, which will fix the HDA export for older Houdini versions. To get the fix you can open the Prism Settings and in the miscellaneous tab you can update your Prism version automatically to the latest version from github. After that you should setup the Prism integration again by executing this file: C:\Prism\Win_Setup_Integrations.bat and restart Houdini. I hope that fixes the error for you.
