Last month we had the exciting opportunity to speak together with Expanse at the FMX – Film & Media Exchange and talk about the latest updates in Prism.
Fredrik Fottland, Richard Frangenberg, Eilef Sandnæs, Konstantin Schorer and Sigurd Sørlie presented a variety of different workflows and shared tips and tricks for working with USD across Houdini and Maya.
We showed a bunch of upcoming features like:
- a first glimpse of the new Prism ComfyUI integration
- a Prism MCP server to automate complex workflows
- multishot workflows for Houdini Slapcomps and Nuke
- an OpenTimelineIO integration across multiple DCCs
We also covered recent additions to Prism like ingest and delivery tools as well as new scene-building workflows.
To bring all of this into the perspective of an actual studio production, the team from Expanse went into a deep dive of the VFX workflows for the movie “A Mouse Hunt for Christmas”.
